We collect only what we need to run and grow GimmeText. We never sell your data, and we never use your audio or transcripts for marketing or AI training.

What we collect

• Your account details, such as your email address.
• The audio from files you upload, and the transcripts we make from it.
• Usage and billing records for your plan. Card details are handled by our payment provider, not by us.
• Website analytics, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and where visitors came from.

How we use it

To provide and improve the service, and to tell you about GimmeText. We may email you product news and offers; every email has an unsubscribe link. Your audio and transcripts are used only to give you your transcript.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded audio is deleted once it's transcribed.
• Transcripts are deleted after 30 days, or sooner if you delete them.
• Deleting your account deletes your data, except records we must keep by law.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that host, transcribe or take payments for us, and only to provide the service. If you connect an AI app, it can read your transcripts when you ask it to, under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can download or delete your transcripts and delete your account in the app. For anything else, including access or correction requests, email gimmetext-support@googlegroups.com.

Changes

We may change this policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted here, and we'll update the date above. Continuing to use GimmeText after a change means you accept it.
